Lookout!

by Treehouse Editors

Lookout Books is doing pretty well for itself. Its first release, Edith Pearlman’s Binocular Vision, won the NBCC and is a finalist for pretty much every award on the planet. The imprint, which is run out of the Department of Creative Writing at UNC Wilmington (home to a big part of the Treehouse crew), then released Steve Almond’s critically-acclaimed collection God Bless America, and this week they’ve followed it up with When All the World is Old, a devastating collection of love poems from John Rybicki.

This evening, Lookout and Ecotone are hosting a book release party on the campus of UNC Wilmington: 7:30 p.m. in the Azalea Coast Room at the Fisher Student Union. There’ll be readings from both Edith Pearlman and John Rybicki, and the whole shebang is free and open to the public. If you’re in Wilmington, check it out.
